The Office of Miami-Dade Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez is committed to making government services more accessible for all residents. As part of this effort, our office is visiting every municipality in the county to collaborate with local leaders and discuss how we can bring our services closer to the people who need them most.

One of the most recent stops was the City of Homestead, a vibrant community with a population of over 6 million residents. Many of these residents, particularly those living in rural areas, face the challenge of long commutes to access essential Tax Collector services. This is something we aim to change. Bringing these services closer to Homestead’s neighborhoods will provide real relief to those who may otherwise have to travel great distances to complete important transactions.

We were honored to meet with Mayor Steven Losner to discuss how we can better serve Homestead's residents. It was a productive conversation that will help strengthen the partnership between our office and the city. Together, we’re working to expand access to our services, reduce bureaucracy, and improve efficiency, all with the goal of making it easier for Homestead residents to get the services they need without having to travel far.

The Miami-Dade Tax Collector’s Office provides a wide range of essential services, including:

Driver’s license services
Property tax payments
Auto tags & titles
Local business tax processing
Parking permits for persons with disabilities

Working closely with local municipalities ensures that we’re providing the best service possible to our community. We are here to offer real solutions, not excuses.

We look forward to continuing this collaboration with Mayor Losner and the City of Homestead to make these services even more accessible and convenient for our residents, especially those in rural areas who will greatly benefit from having these services brought closer to home. Together, we will keep improving and finding innovative ways to serve Miami-Dade County.
