With great success, the Miami-Dade County Tax Collector, Dariel Fernandez, celebrated the launch of his first "Cafecito Connection," a valuable initiative designed to address community concerns over a fresh cup of cafecito.

The inaugural Cafecito Connection took place on March 26 at Karla Bakery in Miami, bringing together dozens of residents to discuss important topics. Key discussions centered on the accessibility of driver’s license transactions and the complexities of the REAL ID requirements. With the upcoming May 7 deadline, thousands of individuals who have yet to upgrade their identification may face restrictions on domestic air travel, among other restrictions.

There is no better way to connect with the Tax Collector’s Office than through an open and direct conversation. Cafecito Connection offers residents a unique opportunity to meet with Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez in person, ask questions, and gain valuable information. Attendees can discuss topics such as property and business taxes, driver’s licenses, ID services, handicap parking permits, and more—all in a welcoming and friendly setting.

A special thank you to Karla Bakery for hosting this first event. Their hospitality was exceptional, and their Cafecito was exquisite.

Stay tuned to our social media channels for details on the next Cafecito Connection, happening in April.

Don’t miss this opportunity to stay informed and engaged—all over a great cup of coffee!
